I have also experienced similar problems with my RedEye type 2. After
the device has been switched off for
a few weeks I had no contact with the device. Pushed reset button to, reset to the RedEye (Ad Hoc) mode. Then I got in touch with RedEye.
Now I could see that all my rooms and
activities settings were intact. Tried
several times to restore my previous WiFi settings.
No success with this. I use static IP addresses on my local
network.
After 10 or so attempts
to use previous IP address,
I chose a different IP address, and
then suddenly, everything worked again!
I am very happy with my RedEye and therefore do
not want to be without it. Therefore
I am looking for a RedEye device type 2
to have in spare. Have a hard time finding one here in Europe.
If anyone has a device that is not used, please let me know.
